Keeping up with the Quay! New openings, weekend plans, the sushi spot that’s booked solid for a month, if it’s happening in New West, we’re writing about it. Check back here for honest takes on local businesses, hidden gems in your neighbourhood, and the spots worth trying (or skipping).

Proudly built by Your Neighbours

Here in New West, we’re known for our heritage buildings, riverfront boardwalk, and the kind of community where people know their neighbours. When you support local, you’re keeping what makes this place special.

I’ve lived in New West for three years and somehow never knew about the bakery on 6th Ave until I found it on here. Now I go every Sunday. This site actually showed me spots I drive past every day.

Walking Trails in New Westminster

We know the spots with the best views, and there’s so much beauty, you’ll never run out of options! The riverfront boardwalk stretches along the Fraser, where you’ll find us after work, watching tugboats or stopping at the pier, admiring the sunset.

The Brunette-Fraser Regional Greenway connects our neighbourhoods, Sapperton to the waterfront. You can often find us there running, biking, or walking our weiner dog Wendy.

Queens Park has trails that wind through old-growth forest right in the heart of the city. You can walk under the canopy of Douglas firs, then pop over to 6th Ave and grab an iced latte.
