My Care Matters Health Services
About Us
We are My Care Matters Health Services, a home care agency providing dependable support to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with special needs throughout New Westminster. Our services include personal care, companionship, dementia care, palliative support, medication management, post-hospital recovery, and full 24/7 overnight care. We bring 30 years of combined experience in nursing and in-home care to every client we work with, and our team is on call around the clock. We also offer multilingual care services so your loved one can connect with their caregiver in the language they feel most at ease speaking.
What Drives Us
Most families don’t arrive at the decision to bring in a caregiver quickly. It usually comes after a period of watching closely, trying to manage things on their own, and eventually reaching the point where they know their loved one needs more support than the family alone can provide. When families do reach out, the questions are usually the same; who is coming into our home, what will care actually look like day to day, and will someone be reachable when something goes sideways. We’ve built everything around answering those questions well. Our caregivers take the time to get to know each client; their routines, the things that comfort them, and what a good day looks like for them specifically. Then we build the care plan from there. Whether your family is in Queensborough, Sapperton, Glenbrooke North, or Downtown New Westminster, we’re available any time you need us.

What We Believe
Understand first, plan second: We don’t put a care plan together until we’ve had a proper conversation with your family and spent time understanding your loved one’s situation. What we learn shapes everything that follows.
Familiar caregivers make a real difference: We match caregivers thoughtfully and keep that relationship stable. For seniors and those with dementia especially, knowing who is coming through the door each visit matters more than most people expect.
Families are never left in the dark: We communicate consistently and follow up whenever something changes with your loved one’s care. You’ll always have a clear picture of what’s happening. Meet our care team here.
Every caregiver is fully vetted: Reference checks and criminal record checks are completed before any caregiver enters your home. Ongoing training keeps the standard of care consistent from the first visit onward.

Home Care in New Westminster
New Westminster is one of BC’s oldest cities and its housing stock reflects that history. Older homes in Brow of the Hill, Connaught Heights, and Glenbrooke North can present unique challenges for aging in place; but with the right support, staying home is absolutely manageable. Queensborough residents near the Fraser River and seniors in the Uptown and Downtown areas reach out to us when they want to maintain their independence without relying entirely on family. New Westminster’s multicultural community also means that language can shape how comfortable care feels from day to day; our multilingual services make sure your loved one isn’t navigating their care in a language that doesn’t feel natural to them.
What Families Usually Come to Us With
Families in New Westminster tend to get in touch with us when something has changed and they know they need help. A loved one has come home from Royal Columbian Hospital and the family quickly realizes that managing recovery at home is more than they can handle alone. A senior in Sapperton or Fraserview has been independent for years but small things are starting to slip; meals being skipped, medications missed, or a growing reluctance to leave the house. Or a family member living outside the city needs a reliable local team to check in regularly and provide consistent, hands-on care. We also hear from families who are supporting someone through dementia or the final stages of illness and need skilled, compassionate help beyond what they can offer on their own. Whatever has brought you to this point, we always start the same way; a free in-home assessment with no strings attached. We come to your New Westminster home, we listen carefully, and we build a care plan around what we actually find. If you’d like to look through questions other families have asked before reaching out, our FAQ page is a helpful place to start.
